Al Ain beat Dubai 2-1 to stay on top of Reserve League
Al Ain continued their strong performance of the Etisalat Reserve League following their 2-1 victory over their counterparts Dubai in the match played at Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Stadium within round 14. The winners are currently on top of the standings with 38 points while Dubai's balance was frozen at five points that put them at the bottom of the table. Mohammad Malalla netted both goals for Al Ain team in the 24th and 91st minutes while Waleed Khalid scored the lone goal for the losers 13 minutes to the final whistle.
On the other hand, Al Jazira humiliated Bani Yas with an 8-3 win at Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium. The winners ended the first session with a seven- straight- goal win and added one more after the break while the losers reduced the deficit in the second half with three goals. Sultan Bargash netted a super hat trick for the winners in the 10, 11th, 20th and 43rd minutes; his teammate Ahmad Juma'a scored two goals in the 13th and 35th minutes and Saif Khalfan and Abdul Rahim Juma'a netted one goal each in the 27th and 57th minutes respectively. Al Jazira raised their tally to 25 points taking second position on only one-goal difference from Bani Yas who collected the same balance taking third spot.
In the other matches, Ajman (15 points) and Al Wasl (18 points) were tied to a 2-2 draw in the match held on Ajman pitch; Sharjah and Emirates also ended their game played in Ras Al Khaimah with a 1-1 draw to raise their balance to 18 points each.
Al Nasr snatched three invaluable points after defeating Al Wahda 3-0 to take 4th place with 24 points while Al Wahda are sitting in 8th position with 16 points.
Al Shabab came from behind when they were one goal down to maintain a 2-1 over Al Ahli to increase their balance to 13 points to stay second from the bottom while the losers are classified in the 10th spot with 14 points.
