Al Ahli beat Al Shabab 3-2 in the GCC Champions League first leg match
Al Ahli maintained a 3-2 hard fought win over Al Shabab in the GCC Champions League first leg match which was played this evening Wednesday. October 26th at Rashid Stadium in front a big mass of spectators of both teams' supporters. Despite of the fact that Al Ahli need only a draw in their second leg game scheduled for next Thursday November 3rd at Maktoum Bin Rashid Stadium, but the match won't be easy and a 1-0 is enough for Al Shabab to be crowned champions for the second time.
Essa Obaid put Al Shabab into the lead only 9 minutes from the start off Ciel's cross ball in front of the goal mouth for Essa to divert it into the left hand side of Al Ahli's goalkeeper Yousuf Al Zeaabi. But Graffiti leveled the result for Al Ahli two minutes later capitalizing on Amer Mubarak's perfect pass.
The winners made some good attempts to add the second goal through Lebanese Yousuf Mohammad in the 29th minute. The losers pulled one back to make it 2-2 four minutes after the break off a penalty kick. Ahmed Khamis of Al Ahli netted the winner for the home team two minutes later to secure a 3-2 for his side.
