Helal Saeed’s header save the day for Al Nasr
The red musketeers failed to snatch precious three points off their local rivals Al Nasr after Helal Saeed’s last second goal which ended the thrilling derby with a 3-3 draw. The exciting encounter took place at Rashid Stadium this evening at 8:30 pm within Round 16 of the Etisalat Pro League campaign.
The hosts managed to take the lead throughout the first interval, and enforced a lot of pressure on their visitors. Jiminez made an opening in the 26th minute, then himself passed the ball to Grafite who smoothly turned it into a second goal for his side in the 39th minute to end the first half with a 2-0 win for the reds.
The second half was marked for the blues, Luca Toni’ header in the 54th minute decreased the deficit for the visitors and gave back hope to Zenga’s men that they still have the chance to compensate. Al Nasr later managed to level the score and netted the equalizer when Mohamed Ali passed a corner received and scored with a brilliant header from Ali Salem in the 75th minute.
The blues were about to lose hope when Grafite added the third to his side in the 85th minute, but the surprising Helal Saeed’s header in the 95th minute saved the day for the blues only few seconds before the end.
Al Nasr raise their tally to 29 points stepping back to the 4th place on the pro league standings, while Al Ahli remain 9th with 18 points in the table.
