Al Ahli hosts Saudi Al Hilal in a friendly match
The match is a good preparation for the home squad for the upcoming season which will start on September 10th with the Super Cup match followed by the Etisalat Pro-League Championship five days later.
Al-Ahli has organized a warm up training camp for two periods in both Austria and Australia under the supervision of their former coach Ivan Hasek, where they played a number of friendly games. The coach would have benefited much from the friendly matches in selecting his probables for the new season despite of the absence of the UAE Senior and Olympic teams' stars who are in national duties.
Al Ahli Administration has made comprehensive changes in the foreign players' list after signing the Brazilians Grafite and Gaga and Luis Jimenez from Chili, and all three players performed well during the preparation period which indicates that they will be a strong addition to the team next season.
The game is also a preparation for Al Ahli for the Etisalat Pro-League competition, as well as the Gulf Clubs Championship semi-final match against Kazam of Kuwait due to kick off on September 27th in which Al Ahli's International stars will come back to participate in this anticipated GCC strong game.
