Al Ahli launches new initiatives to inspire off-the-field excellence

Al Ahli Club yesterday announced the launch of two new initiatives aimed at improving its off-the-field operations and activities. The first initiative is an internal award to recognise excellence for staff members of Al Ahli Club on both athletic and administrative sides, designed to create a stimulating culture of creativity, competitiveness and innovation within the organisation. Speaking at a press conference at the Club yesterday, Chairman of Al Ahli Club Board of Directors and Vice Chairman of the Pro League Committee’s Executive Office H.E. Abdullah Saeed Al Nabooda explained the theory behind the launch of this internal award; believed to be the first of its kind amongst UAE football clubs. “We are counting on the award to be a catalyst for a culture of excellence in our workplace, creating a positive competitive environment amongst our departments and individual employees. The introduction of this award is intended to inspire high levels of performance and professionalism and to highlight achievements within our Club,” he said.

The second initiative launched by Al Ahli Club is an online portal for suggestions, observations and complaints, in cooperation with the General Secreteriat of the Executive Council of Dubai and the Dubai eGovernment. The system, which had formerly only been used internally, is now open for anyone to submit their thoughts and the Club intends to take all comments received into serious consideration for the benefit of all.
