Al Ahli beat Sharjah 3-2 to jump to sixth position

 

Al Ahli snatched three valuable points following their 3-2 win over hosts Sharjah in their Etisalat Pro-League Round 19 game played this evening at the losers' Stadium. The winners jumped one step forward to take sixth position with 26 points while Sharjah remain in their previous spot with 23 points. Sharjah ended the first session leading 1-0 through Al Gashmi Ahmad who collected the ball outside the box, rounded up two defenders before sending a strong shot that went straight into the left hand side of Al Ahli's goalkeeper Yousuf Al Zeaabi.

Al Ahli's striker Ahmad Khalil pulled one back only seven minutes after the break to make it 1-1 and his brother Faisal added the second nine minutes later. But Nawaf Mubarak netted the equalizer in the 70th minute to make it 2-2 before Salmeen Khamis scored the third securing a 3-2 victory for the visiting team Al Ahli in the 83rd minute.
