Al Jazira beat Ajman to retain league leadership
Al Jazira raised their tally to 13 points following their 4-3 win over Ajman in the Etisalat Pro-League fifth round match held this evening at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium in Ajman, while the losers have only three points.
The hosts team took the lead four minutes before the break via Ibrahima Tore who exploited the error committed by the defenders who failed to clear the ball away for Tore to send it into the left hand side of Al Jazira goalkeeper Khalid Al Sinani. Kareem Karkar made it 2-0 when he sent the ball into the right hand corner at the edge of the box in the 44th minute to make things difficult for the league holders giving his side a 2-0 lead at the end of the first session.

At the beginning of the second session the substitution Bare reduced the deficit when he scored Al Jazira’s first goal only two minutes after the breather off a perfect pass sent by Delgado for bare to launch a strong shot into the left hand side of Ajman custodian Ali Rabei, but Ajman were again on target when Tore netted their second goal in the 58th minute off a long pass; he rounded up Al Jazira’s defender Juma’a Abdullah before sending the ball into the right hand side. Abdullah Mousa of Al Jazira made it 3-2 in the 60th minute off a perfect header before the defender Juma’a Abdullah scored the equalizer when he dashed on a ball sent by Delgado off a flag kick. Locas Neil from Australia scored the all-important goal of the match in the 84th minute giving his side Al Jazira a 4-3 win.
