Ajman defeat Emirates 1-0 to move two steps forward
Ajman moved two steps forward in the ranking of Etisalat Pro League after a 1-0 hard fought win over Emirates team scored by their Lebanese midfielder Hassan Maatouk in the 67th minute in the match held tonight at Rashid Bin Saeed in Ajman within the 7th round. Ajman are sitting in 7th position with 9 points while Emirates are staying second from the bottom with three points. It was the sixth successive loss for Emirate team who played the game under the guidance of their coach Boumnijel who replaced former Tunisian coach Ghazi Al Gharaeri.
The winners made the most dangerous attack in the first three minutes when Ibrahima Tore collected the ball and ran down the right flank, penetrated into the penalty area and sent a cross pass that passed Oliver who was facing the goal but couldn't score.
Emirates team played with a number of youngsters and missed three expatriate professional players Al Hassan Keita, Pejman Nouri and Mohsine Moutaouali and played with only Nigerian Orok.
