Ajman beat Dubai 3-0 to take fifth position

 

Ajman jumped to fifth spot with 24 points following their 3-0 win over their visiting rivals Dubai in the Etisalat Pro League 17th round match held on the winners' pitch this evening while the losers' balance was frozen at 11 points that kept them at the bottom of the table. Tia Oliver opened the scoring giving the hosts the lead only 12 minutes into the match with a perfect header and added the second 11 minutes after the break. His teammate Boris Kabi made it 3-1 eight minutes before the final whistle.

Ajman have the same balance of points that collected by Al Wasl but the former have the superiority over their Dubai-based competitors in their head - to - head matches as both teams were held to a 1-1 draw in their first game played at Saeed Bin Rashid Stadium and Ajman won in the second leg encounter 4-2 at Zabeel Stadium to take 5th place while Al Wasl are classified in sixth position.
