Ajman overcome Al Wahda with a 3-1 victory
Ajman scored a remarkable 3-1 victory against their Abu Dhabi rivals Al Wahda in the match that took place in Ajman this afternoon at 5:45 pm within Round 15 of the Etisalat Pro League competition.
Ajman seemed more consistent and had the priority to keep the ball throughout the first half of the game, they were better on the ground and had better chances in creating goal opportunities. The orange started the lead with Tia Oliver who received a corner from his team player Ahmed Al Yassi and with his left netted his side first goal right at the left corner of Mutaz Abdulla in the 15th minute. The Abu Dhabi side tried to level the score more than once through Baiano, Ismael Matar and Haidar Ali, yet the first interval ended with a solitary goal to the hosts.
Ajman added their second goal by the beginning of the second half Through Waleed Ahmed in the 53rd minute. Al Wahda got the chance to decrease the difference through a penalty netted by Hugo in the 66th minute, but only few minutes later the orange earned a penalty and was netted by Hassan Maatouk in the 71st minute.
With this result Ajman raise their tally to 21 points and reserve the 5th position in the Pro League table, while Al Wahda remain with 19 points on the standings.
