Ajman leaves to Istanbul for pre-season camp

Ajman Senior Football Team left for Istanbul this morning where they will hold a 17-day warm-up camp as part of their preparations for the upcoming season. The trip is being conducted under the chairmanship of Abdullah Al Dhaheri, Member of the Board of Directors, along with Sayed Humaid, Team Manager, Abdullah Ahmed, Team Administrator, Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Kader, Coach, Dr. Saad Jamil, Assistant Coach, Brazilian Clabber, fitness coach, Omar Ahmad, Goalkeepers Coach, in addition to 24 players including Algerian Karim Karkar, Olivia and Ibrahim Toure. The team's training program will continue until July 30 and will include four friendly matches.

Before flying to Istanbul, Ajman conducted a series of training sessions under the supervision of their new Iraqi coach Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Kader. The players were given one day off after concluding the first preparation stage on Monday night to get ready for their journey to the external camp in Turkey.

The team will resume their UAE preparations August 1st and are planning to play six friendlies before going into the official competitions.

Ajman has terminated the contracts of four players Yousuf Hassan, Faisal Abdul-Rahman, Rodwan Saleh and Mohammad Khamis who were playing for the team last season, after the new coach settled on the team list for the new season.

Coach Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Kader said that the objective of the warm up camp is to make the players physically and technically fit prior to the start of the League competitions, and at the same time watch and evaluate the performance of the team's new players who were signed recently in order to decide on the right line-up combination. The coach described the timing of the launch of the fourth edition of the professional league as suitable and reasonable, pointing out that Ajman's technical body hopes to benefit a lot from the preparatory period. He also confirmed that the Club will decide on their fourth Asian professional player when the team comes back from their training camp in Istanbul.
