Al Ahli crowned Arabian Gulf Super Cup Champions

His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, crowned Al Ahli as Arabian Gulf Super Cup Champions by handing over the trophy in a ceremony after their 3-2 penalty victory over Al Ain. Al Ahli’s players celebrated kicking off their season with some silverware as they lifted the Cup in front of a crowd of almost 30,000 spectators at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. It is the second time Al Ahli have won the Super Cup, having taken the inaugural title when the competition was launched in 2008/09.
