The AFC delegation visits professional clubs next week

 

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) delegation will visit the UAE professional clubs from 4 to 10 October.

The aim of the visit is to ensure that all clubs meet AFC regulations across various criteria including stadium facilities, spectator figures, operational matters and marketing activities. Meeting these criteria is vital in order to secure the UAE's participation in the AFC Champions League (ACL) competition with the current number of associated slots.

The delegation will meet on Tuesday, October 4th the UAE Football Association and the Professional League Committee officials and will then visit Al Ain club at Qattara Stadium before returning back to Dubai to confer with Dubai Club's officials.

The delegation is also due to visit the Emirates and Ajman Clubs on October 5th to review the AFC criteria applied there. They will visit Sharjah and Bani Yas on October 6th and then Al Ahli and Al Nasr in the following day. The AFC delegation will attend Al Ain vs Al Jazira match at Al Shabab stadium in the 4th Round of the Etisalat Cup on the same day.

Their visits will continue to Al Shabab and Al Wasl on October 8th. The delegation will also attend Al Ahli vs Bani Yas match at Rashid Stadium.

The AFC delegation will conclude the clubs visit by visiting Al Wahda and Al Jazira on Sunday 9th.

On Sunday 10th, the AFC delegation will meet the UAE FA and PLC Officials in a joint meeting followed by a workshop to the UAE clubs at 1.30pm and a press conference at 5.30pm.
