AFC delegation concludes inspection visit to UAE

The Asian Football Federation (AFC) delegation concluded their three-day inspection visit to the UAE. The visit, which came within the framework of the 2013 and 2014 AFC Champions League preparations and continued throughout  Saturday, Sunday and Monday, September 23, 24, 25. The delegation was briefed on the preparations and current status of UAE Professional League and its clubs. The AFC delegation included Alisher Nikimbaev director of club licensing in the Asian Football Federation (AFC) and Steve Kim head of research and support in AFC. 

Over the three days, the delegation met with the four promoted clubs, Al Dhafra, Al Shaab FC, Dibba Fujirah, Ittihad Kalba FC as well as attended the match between Al Ain and Al Ahli at the Tahnoun bin Mohamed stadium. Inspections were also conducted to the home stadium of Ittihad Kalba FC and Dibba Fujirah who will be playing at Khalifa bin bin Zayed stadium. 

The AFC delegation will provide their report to the AFC Ad Hoc Committee for Professional Football in November 2012 where a decision will be taken on the number of AFC Champions League slots for each country.
