Zenga: “Al Nasr will face one of the best teams on the continent”

Al Nasr head coach Walter Zenga says his side will face one of the best teams on the continent as they host Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia at the Al Maktoum Stadium on Wednesday night. “We will face a very strong opponent, and I am surprised by the people who only mention the capabilities of Al Ahli’s foreign players; their most prominent player on the team is their captain Taissir Al Jassim, a Saudi national,” the Italian coach observed in his pre-match press conference. Zenga also commented that this fixture will be played in quite different circumstances from last year’s, when Al Nasr faced the Saudi side without three of their foreign contingent.

New Al Ahli manager Aleksander Ilic has expressed his desire to leave the UAE with three points after picking up a win in their Group C opener against Qatar’s Al Gharafa. “Al Nasr is a strong team with many distinguished players but we are coming for a positive result and the players are fully aware of the importance of this game. We are looking for maximum points,” the Serbian coach stated.
