PLC organizes a workshop for the match Access Control and Security Officers

The Pro League Committee “PLC” organized a workshop for the match Access Control and Security Officers at the Rocco Forte Hotel in Abu Dhabi under the auspices of the Sports Care Program attached to the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

Michelle Chai, PLC Technical and Competition Director, explained the regulations set by the Committee regarding various matters which the Officers have to do before, during and after the game and their relationship with the police and security companies. Chai stressed on the importance of extensive notifying on regulations regarding the match Access Control Officers, which have already been distributed to the clubs, and to take into account that what is explained in those regulations makes the work more smooth, and at the same time overcome many of the obstacles that may face the games organizers work, in order to get to a match free of any obstacles, problems and accidents. She also stressed on the importance of cooperation between the Access Control Officer attached to the Committee and the club’s Security Officer.


Chai spoke during the workshop about the main places in football stadiums, which Access Control Officers should inspect before the kick off of the matches, starting from the main entrance of the stadium, through players, emergency, television broadcast vehicles entrances, and the entry and exit gates of the fans. She extensively explained the accreditation cards which will be distributed to the workers and all those involved in match organization, the colors that will be allocated to those who are present in the stadiums, including the players as well as administrators, members of the Board of Directors of the clubs, and all employees in the club at various levels and the places where they are entitled to be according to the colors of the  cards that the Committee has started to print and distribute to the clubs.


Chai gave the attendees a detailed explanation on how to write reports concerning the Access Control Officers before and after the game, and the steps to be followed to avoid errors, if any. She also explained types of tickets that will be dealt with during the upcoming season, and concluded the workshop answering all inquiries and questions made by the attendees.
