Bani Yas sign Omani defender Abdul Salam Al Mukhaini

Bani Yas have completed the signing of Oman defender Abdul Salam Al Mukhaini on a one-year loan deal from Saudi Arabian side Al Raed, replacing the Australian Nick Carle as Bani Yas’ foreign Asian player. The 25-year-old, who has 22 international caps for Oman, completed his medical and signed a contract with the Club to join Andre Senghor and Christian Wilhelmsson amongst Bani Yas’ expatriate ranks; the latter of whom has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping the former Swedish international with the Sky Blues until the end of the 2014 season.

Speaking about his loan transfer to Bani Yas, Al Mukhaini said: “I am very excited and looking forward to starting the new season in the UAE with my new teammates. I am very familiar with UAE football, and took the advice of my friend and Oman teammate Fawzi Bashir before making the final decision on the move.”
