29 February is the deadline for submitting Clubs licensing applications
The Professional League Committee (PLC) has decided next Wednesday, February 29 as a deadline for the clubs to submit their licensing applications so as to be able to participate in the AFC Champions League 2013, as well as depositing AED 1500, and in case any club fails to submit the application on time, it will be deprived from participating in the Asian Champions League next year.
Once the clubs submit their applications, they have to provide further documents related to Sporting Criteria, Human Resources, Personnel Criteria and Financial Criteria no later than June 15.
The committee has also identified June 30 as a deadline for the clubs to submit their Legal Criteria, Commercial/ Business Criteria, and July 31 as a deadline for submitting the documents concerning Infrastructure Criteria.
Abdulla Nasser Al Junaibi, Vice Chairman of the Pro League Committee (PLC), Chairman of the Technical Committee said: "We encourage all clubs to apply for the license, as the clubs who get the license, are the only who are authorized to take part in the AFC Champions League 2013, taking into account that participation in this championship is a national duty and responsibility of everyone in order to honor the UAE football in all international events".
It is worth mentioning that the Professional League Committee (PLC) has held a workshop in January 29 on Clubs Licensing System, at the premises of the Etisalat Academy in Dubai with the participation of UAE Professional Clubs, and Division "A" Clubs as well as representatives from the Sport Councils of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, and a number of media representatives.
The committee made later on a number of visits to the Professional and First Division Clubs where they discussed various issues related to the clubs readiness to complete licensing procedures.
