Saeed Abdul Ghaffar, Vice President of the UAE Football Association and Chairman of the interim Pro-League Committee, left for Mexico on Monday June 27th to participate in a workshop organized by The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) on the sidelines of the FIFA U-17 World Cup to be hosted by Mexico.
Saeed Abdul Ghaffar was accompanied by a delegation including Ahmed Bahadir, Information Technology Manager and Julian Stanculescu, Supervisor of Foreign Relations and Marketing at the UAE FA.
The delegation is attending the conference in order to understand FIFA's requirements in relation to hosting the FIFA U-17 World Cup along with any new measures to promote the tournament technically and organizationally, in line with the development of youth and junior competitions. The UAE is set to host the next edition of the tournament in 2013.
The three-day workshop will be attended by international experts and specialists in the organisational, marketing and media fields and they will provide the attendees with the latest steps that have been reached by FIFA on the modern methods and means of organization. All National Federations will benefit from the workshop, especially those who will organise World Cup Championships over the coming years.
