The Round 10 golden box matches in English
Keen to enable all football fans and lovers across the UAE to get more involved in the UAE Etisalat Pro League competition, the PLC will be providing all the Non-Arabic speaking fans English commentary on the upcoming Al Shabab vs. Al Ain match that will take place on Wednesday 4 January 2012 at 8:00 pm within Round 10 of the Etisalat Pro League competition and to be hosted by Brian Murgatroyd, whose global broadcasting career spans more than 20 years and of which includes working with Sky Sports in the United Kingdom. He was the first English language commentator in the history of the Etisalat Pro League when he broadcasted from Al Jazira's home game with Al Wasl in 2010-2011, the same season he commentated on Brazil's friendly match against Iran in Abu Dhabi. Brian also commentates on the I League, India's elite football competition, for TEN Sports, recently commentated on the beach soccer tournaments in Dubai and Lagos and is a regular panel member on The Grill, Dubai Eye's weekly mix of sports scores and opinions every Saturday afternoon. He spent four years as Head of Media and Communications for the International Cricket Council and has also served as Media Manager for both the England and Australia cricket national teams.
PLC will also provide English commentary for the Al Jazira vs. Al Wahda match to take place on Thursday 5 January 2012 at 8:00 pm within Round 10 of the Etisalat Pro League competition and to be hosted by Joe Morrison, who has been involved in broadcast media for over a decade focusing on the sport environment. He began his career in the North East of England with local BBC Radio becoming the youngest sport anchor in the stations' history. He was selected as anchor for ART (Arab Radio and Television) and their newly launched English language Premier League channel ART Prime Sport in the Middle East. He was recently the host of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Annual Awards held in Abu Dhabi, which was broadcasted across the Middle East and Asia. Joe has worked with and been responsible for bringing to the Middle East, a long list of distinguished names from the world of football including, Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Bobby Robson, Paul Gasgcoine, Ian Rush, Sir Bobby Charlton and Teddy Sheringham to name but a few. 2011 saw Joe host the Tensports live football coverage alongside resident guests Trevor Sinclair, Carlton Palmer, John ‘Budgie’ Burridge and Derek Whyte. Joe is anchor to the dedicated football channel Ten Action currently featuring the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, Carling Cup amongst a host of other European Leagues.
