Al Ain beat Bani Yas 4-1 to bag Etisalat Reserve League title
Al Ain reserve Football Team put an end to the Etisalat Reserve League struggle for this season to win the title five games before the end of the competition following their 4-1 deserved victory over hosts Bani Yas in their round 17th round match played this evening on the losers’ pitch. The winners raised their tally to 43 points with a difference of 16 points ahead of Bani Yas who have collected 31 points that classified them as runner up. The second position turned to be a special championship.
Both teams demonstrated a balanced display and came up with a strong performance especially in the first session which ended in favor of Al Ain with a solitary goal netted by Rami Yaslam three minutes before the breather. The visitors were the better side in major parts of the second half and their hard efforts helped them to add three goals through Mohammad Salim Al Sadi who struck twice in the 60th and 82nd minutes and his teammate Mohammad Nasser completed the rout scoring the fourth goal four minutes to time while Sultan Ahmed Dabash scored the consolation goal for the losers in the 72nd minute.
It is worth mentioning that Al Ain did not lose even a single match in 17 games, they won in 15 games and drew twice. They scored 47 goals and conceded 14 to become the strongest squad in both offensive and defensive lines.
