Sharjah, Bani Yas and Al Ahli host Al Nasr, Al Ain and Al Wahda in the 6th round
The Etisalat Pro League sixth round matches will be concluded on Sunday evening with three matches which its outcome will determine the teams' positions in the table.
Sharjah will host Al Nasr in the first game of the day and a win will take the home squad to sixth spot while Al Nasr's victory will classify them with the leading teams. Sharjah have 4 points in 8th position and still have a postponed match at hand against Al Shabab while Al Nasr are sitting in the 6th place with 7 points after maintaining two successive wins recently.
In the second game of the day Bani Yas will face Al Ain at their pitch in Al Shamkha. The hosts' performance was developed much in the last period and the team have restored their win tone under the guidance of the caretaker coach Salim Al Orfi. They beat Al Nasr 4-1 in the Etisalat Cup and drew with Al Shabab in their last game at the latters' home ground before signing Argentinean coach Calderon who will start his official stint from today's match against Al Ain. Bani Yas are in 7th spot with 5 points and they will have back their UAE Olympic team players Amer Abdul Rahman, Mohammad Fawzi and Haboosh Saleh and their participation today is a strong addition to their side.
Al Ain, led by their Romanian coach Cosmin, are endeavoring to win the three points so as to remain close to the leaders Al Jazira. They have 10 points and one postponed game at hand against Al Ahli and they will have back in today's match their Romanian player Radio who was absent in the last two games due to suspension.
In the concluding match of the six round, Al Ahli will host Al Wahda at Rashid Stadium.
The hosts were severely beaten by their traditional rivals Al Nasr in the 5thy round and it was not a good start for their Spanish coach Flores Quique. Al Ahli are second from bottom with three points from one win and three losses and have a postponed match against Al Ain. They scored only two goals and conceded 10 goals to remain the weakest offensive line.
Al Wahda, who have 8 points taking 5th spot, lost two valuable points following their 1-1 draw with Dubai in their last game held at Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi. They will miss today the efforts of their defender Basheir Saeed due to suspension.
