UAE National Football Team leaves for Austria on Saturday morning
The UAE National Football Team Mission is due to leave for Austria on Saturday morning June 25th to hold a warm up camp during the period from June 25th until July 14, 2011 in preparations for their two matches against India in the Asian qualifications for the World Cup 2014 in Brazil. The National team will play three friendly games during the external camp, followed by another friendly match against Lebanon at Khalifa Stadium in Al Ain on July 17th after they return back home. They will face India in the first leg encounter in the Asian qualifications for the World Cup 2014 at the same pitch on July 23rd and both teams will play their second leg game at Nehru Stadium, India on July 28th.
The UAE mission is headed by Obaid Saeed Al Shamsi, UAE Association Board of Directors Member (supervisor) and includes Ismail Rashid (team manager), Fahad Ali Musbah (administrator), Katanec (coach), Slavisa Stojanowick (assistant coach), Mohamed Mansi (assistant coach), Mauro Tammy (goalkeepers Coach ), doctor Mohsen Belhoz (Nutrition), Yousuf Sahnoun (therapist), Jaotolao Da Silva (Masseur), Julius Gorman (Masseur ), Salem Al Naqbi (media coordinator), Adel Al-Naimi (photographer).
The mission also includes 25 players, 17 of whom will be in the preparatory camp and eight others from the Olympic squad will to join the camp later from the first of July after having a one-week rest following their qualification to the third stage of the Asian Final Qualifications for the 2012 London Olympic Games. The players are: Saeed Al Kas (Al Wasl), Ali Khusaif, Khalid Sabeel, Abdullah Mussa, Subait Khatir, Ahmed Juma'a (Al Jazira), Yousuf Jaber (Bani Yas), Walid Abbas (Al Shabab), Fares Juma'a, Muslim Fayez, Ali Al Wihaibi (Al Ain ), Mahmoud Khamis, Mohammed Al Shehhy, Ismail Mattar, Salim Saleh, (Al Wahda), Ismail Al Hammadi and Obaid Al Taweela (Al Ahli).
The Olympic team players are: Adel Al-Hosni, Mohammed Ahmed Gharib, Hamdan Al Kamali, Thiyab Awana, Omar Abdul Rahman, Amir Abdul Rahman, Mohammad Fawzi and Ahmad Khalil.
